Ruben Doblas Gundersen was born on the 13th of February 1990.He is famously known as El Rubius. He is a Spanish-Norwegian YouTube personality whose channel primarily consists of game plays and vlogs. A tweet from Rubius’s official Twitter account was the most retweeted tweet in the world for the year 2016. The tweet was retweeted more than 1.3 million times. He is also one of the most popular streamers on Twitch. He has the fourth most-followed Twitch channel in the world. In January 2021 he changed his place of residence from Spain to the Principality of Andorra, where he benefits from a lower tax burden. Doblas was born in the Spanish town of Mijas in 1990 to a Spanish father and a Norwegian mother. During his childhood he moved many times to Bergen, Norway due to his parents’ divorce. He speaks Norwegia fluently, the Bergen dialect specifically, Spanish, and English. When he settled in Spain he studied animation and 3D modeling.

He posted his first video on YouTube in 2006 and has devoted himself to his YouTube channel since 2011.He made some cameo appearances in the Spanish films Torrente 5 (2014) and Padre no hay más que uno (2019), both starred and directed by Santiago Segura .
